Margaret Anne Wellck-Miranda

Margaret "Peggy" Anne Wellck-Miranda of Alhambra, CA beloved Wife, Mom, Nana and dearest friend, passed away in Alhambra, CA on May 16, 2023 at the age of 64. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on February 12, 1959. She is predeceased by her father John Wellck, mother Maureen Wellck and brother Fritz Wellck. She is survived by husband Israel, daughters Emily Miranda and Charlotte Calderon, her son in law Robert Calderon, and grandson Luke Calderon. She graduated from Bellarmine- Jefferson High School in 1977 and Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA in 1981 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. She married her husband Israel Miranda on February 24, 1981 and they remained married for 42 years, until her last day. Margaret was a proud employee of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health for 36 years, where she found passion and purpose helping mentally ill adults involved in the legal system. She became a mother in 1987 to daughter Emily and again in 1989 to daughter Charlotte. In 2020 she became a Nana to grandson Luke and was eagerly anticipating the birth of her granddaughter, due September 2023. Being a Nana was her proudest role. She was the most fun person in the room, full of wit and spunk, always finding a reason to celebrate and have a party. In addition to being an amazing cook she had an equally impressive sock collection. All who knew her benefited greatly from her compassionate, thoughtful and wise nature as she was their shoulder to lean on and ear to listen.
