Harry L. POTTEIGER

In loving memory of our father, Harry Potteiger, who passed away on May 8, 2022. He was the devoted husband of Freda Potteiger and loving father of Kathy Frey, Karen Fazio and Michelle Thompson and son in law, Mark Fazio. He was a devoted grandfather to Brandon Frey, Taylor Frey, James Thompson, and Jacqueline Fazio and a great grandfather to Ayven and Adalynn Thompson. He was a brother to deceased Calvin, Russel, and Chet Potteiger, and parents Chester and Edna Potteiger and is survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. One of the kindest souls on this planet, our father was a gentle, private man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He was a 1960 graduate of Central Dauphin High School. Married at the young age of 18, he faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in us. He was always there for us, whether we needed help with fixing things or just a shoulder to cry on. He was a man of strong will and he taught us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. He was a career truck driver for over 37 years and member of Teamsters who received numerous accolades for safe driving, including driving over a million miles without an accident. Other than his passion for family, his greatest passions were fishing, hunting and vegetable gardening. Our father was a true role model who we will always look up to. The funeral service will be held at Cremation and Burial Society of Pennsylvania, Inc. on May 21, 2022 with visitation at 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm,followed by a 2:00 pm service at at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice at hospiceofcentralpa.org. Father, you are now at peace but you will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
