Charles E. Drumheller

The Life journey of Charles (Chas) Edward Drumheller ended quietly at his home on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the age of 93. He was the first born to the late Mabel (Stauffer) and Charles A. Drumheller. He also had two siblings, who he loved very much, the late Richard Drumheller and surviving Wilbur R. Drumheller of Columbia, PA. Charles married Gladys C. (Bangert) and this union was Blessed with four children, Diana E. Bowens, Barry L. Drumheller, Carol A. Charon (husband Santos) and Christine M. Miller (husband Donnie). Charles (called Sonny by his parents) was a hardworking man, extremely strong willed, but loved his family immensely. He ended his career as a steel worker at Bethlehem Steel. He was a lifetime member of the Allison Hill Men’s Republican Club. He enjoyed watching westerns (cowboys) and wrestling on television, liked playing poker and pinochle, constantly played slot games on the computer and especially loved spending time with his family. Charles had four grandchildren, Tiffany M. Bowens, Jaimee L. Bowens who was a Godsend when it came to taking care of her grandfather, Erica N. Bowens, and Kelly Jo Sherrick (husband Tony). He was blessed with eight great grandchildren, Justin N. McCraw (wife Nicole), Alesha M. McCraw, Drevaun M. McKamey, Izaiah T. Bowens Perrin, R.J., Ryan, Megan, and Julie Sherrick. Also had two great great grandchildren, Justis McCraw and Jayden Williams. Charles was the Patriarch of our family, he was loved and will be greatly missed, but will remain in our hearts forever. Services will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Cremation and Burial Society of Pennsylvania, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Visitation 9-10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Full military honors.
