Laura Eleanor LABRESCO
August 6, 1929 – November 18, 2020
Laura Eleanor (Scoofer) Labresco, daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor Kelley, was born on August 6, 1929 in Berwyn, Pennsylvania.
On January 22, 1949, Laura married Sidney Thomas Labresco at St. Monica’s Church in Berwyn. Together they were blessed with two daughters, Kathy Labresco Marcantonio and Beth Labresco Allen. Sidney passed away on February 16, 2009.
Laura enjoyed a long full life, filled with various interests and passions. Some of her many hobbies included serving as a Girl Scout leader, reading books, birdwatching, gardening, and listening to the music of “crooners” like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Laura would often be found putting her unparalleled baking skills to use, especially around Christmas time. But nothing was more important to Laura than her love of her family, with whom she constantly surrounded herself with.
Laura peacefully departed this life on November 18, 2020 at Brandywine Hall in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Frank, and Edward Kelley, and her sister, Ruth Kelley Rosato.
Laura’s beautiful life will forever be celebrated and cherished in the lives of her children: Kathy (John) Marcantonio and Beth Allen; her grandchildren: Joel, Jennifer, and Michael (Yasmin) Marcantonio, Matthew (Heather) and Joshua Allen; her sister, Margretta Kelley (Robert) Blackburn; her beloved family member, Seann (Melissa) Marcantonio; her many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and countless other family members and friends who have been touched by her kind and generous spirit.
