Obituary of Charles Howard Doyle
Charles Howard Doyle, age 99, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family. Charles was born in Long Island, New York and graduated from Chaminade High School. He later majored in accounting at Siena College. After being drafted in 1943 for World War II, he served in the Army’s 169th ordinance. His military service commissioned him to France where he met the love of his life, Micheline, leading to 62 years of marriage. For 30 years, he worked in sales at McCormick’s Spice Company which eventually relocated him to Pennsylvania. He lived in Radnor Township for over 50 years and became actively involved in Radnor politics, serving on the Radnor Democratic Committee for 12 of those years. Lovingly known by his family as Coachie, he will be remembered for his sense of humor and joie de vivr. He was a devoted Eagles fan, a francophile who loved an opportunity to practice his French, and enjoyed spending time on his front porch, traveling on international trips with his family, and relaxing at his granddaughter’s waterfront home in Easton, MD. Charles is predeceased by his loving wife Micheline and his daughter Michelle or Kiki. He is survived by his daughter Noel Bingham (Dennis) of Wayne, his grandson Michael Lihota (Melissa), his granddaughters Stephanie Bingham (Nicholas), Noel Dunford (Benjamin), Elizabeth Sotirhos (Timothy) and 9 great-grandchildren. There will be a small service for immediate family members only. In lieu of flowers or donations, please contact the family if you would like a talkative cat. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.cremationofpennsylvania.com/location/king-of-prussia-pa for the Doyle family.
