In his final hours, Brian was surrounded with love by his two children, Richard Andrew and Danielle Andrew.
Brian was the middle child of 5. He is survived by his brother Michael Andrew, and his sisters Theresa (Teri) Andrew, Dawn Holsten, and Victoria (Vicki) Rose. Brian is also survived by his only grandchild, Andrew (A.J.) Kimball, age 19, son of Danielle.
Brian has always been known as a jokester. He had a sarcastic sense of humor, and loved to antagonize the nurses and staff in the skilled nursing facilities. Despite not being able to always say what was on his mind, his face never held back. When asked how he was doing, he’d stick his tongue out. When asked if he had any pain, he’d point to his annoying roommate. While eating the facility’s provided food, he would make a stink face. He quickly grew to be a favorite resident of the nursing staff.
Brian proved to be stronger than most people would ever imagine. He battled type 1 diabetes since the age of 21, he beat brain cancer in his 40s, and then suffered several strokes in his 60s. He was a simple, hard-working man who enjoyed simple things like cars, yard work, and fast food. But most of all, he enjoyed his children and grandchild. Brian will be sorely missed.
The family is respecting Brian’s wishes of not having a funeral service.
