He is survived by his son, Douglas Lax Antrim of Pasadena, California; Douglas’s mother, Ann Charlotte Lax-Antrim of Wynnewood; and his three brothers: Andrew Phillip Antrim of Elkins Park, PA; Joseph Charles Yaskin, LCSW, of Wynnewood, PA; and Robert Webster Yaskin, DDM, of Vineland, NJ.
Mr. Antrim was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Webster Yaskin (née Webster); his father, Phillip Hulings Antrim; and his stepfather, Louis Yaskin.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mr. Antrim attended Lower Merion High School and resided in Wynnewood for more than 35 years. He earned his undergraduate degree from Temple University and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1993, he maintained a small private law practice from his home until his retirement.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Antrim served as a helicopter crew chief during the Vietnam War, flying medical evacuation missions in the Laos campaign from 1970 to 1971. He was awarded two Bronze Stars for bravery during some of the most intense combat operations of the war.
He was a long-standing member of St. Albans Tennis Club in Newtown Square, PA, where he was known for his love of the game and camaraderie.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
