Louise E. Bowser, age 96, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, at UPMC West Shore Hospital. The family wants to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Louise and made her comfortable in her last days.
Louise was born in Natalie, Pennsylvania to John W. and Lulu D. Henninger. After graduating from high school, she was a checker at the A&P Grocery store in Shamokin. She later married Charles S. Bowser. They first met as toddlers in the church nursery.
Louise was Assistant Manager for the Barrington College Bookstore in Barrington, Rhode Island and later office manager at the Barrington Times. At retirement, she and her husband Charles moved to Messiah Village where she was a receptionist.
Surviving are her two sons, Timothy Bowser and wife June of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Paul Bowser and wife Pam of Barrington, Rhode Island, and two grandchildren, Andrew Bowser, and AnnaLeigh Bowser of Barrington, Rhode Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, and her siblings, Hilton Henninger, Clair Henninger, Dorcas Haak and Miriam Henninger.
Private services for the immediate family are pending. In lieu of flowers, consider a contribution to the Messiah Lifeways Endowment Fund or the Messiah Village Brethren in Christ Church, both of which were near and dear to Louise.
